Jon's flax-and-bamboo gravel bike, Epping Forest
Jon built a gravel bike on one of our flax-and-bamboo frames, then rode it where a gravel bike belongs: out on the trails of Epping Forest, on London's doorstep.
What he built
A bamboo frame reinforced with natural flax fibre — the same combination we supply in our flax frame kits. Bamboo and flax are a good pairing for off-road riding: the natural fibres help damp out trail buzz, so longer days on rougher ground stay comfortable.
Why it matters
