Build by Toby and his Dad Jim. Built over a weekend workshop and finished at home.

Father and son, weekend workshop, one finished bike. Toby and Jim built this together, and the result shows what happens when two generations collaborate.

Classic fixed-gear aesthetics: Aventon wheels, brown leather bar wrap matching the Brooks saddle, polished silver components against natural bamboo. The styling nods to vintage while the construction is entirely modern.

Building a bike together creates memories that outlast the frame itself. The conversations over alignment, the shared problem-solving, the quiet satisfaction of seeing something emerge from raw materials — these become part of the bike's story.

The black painted lugs provide contrast without competing with the bamboo. Simple, confident, clean. This is a builder (or builders) who understood that restraint creates elegance.

Weekend workshops are intense: two days of focused work, learning techniques that take practice to master. Having a partner helps — one person can hold while another wraps, questions get discussed rather than just pondered.

The finished bike leans against the wall, casting a shadow that suggests it's ready to move. Whatever Toby and Jim talked about during construction, they'll talk about again every time this bike gets ridden.

Built together, memories made. Nice one, both of you. 👨‍👦
