Ted's road bike, photographed against wrought iron gates and honey-coloured stone. The kind of backdrop that makes handmade craft feel like heritage.
That green bar tape is a bold choice that works. Against the natural bamboo and black lugs, it adds personality without overwhelming the frame's clean lines. The stone architecture behind picks up similar tones in its weathered surface.
The location looks like Oxford, Bath, or one of the other historic cities where cycling and medieval architecture coexist. These streets have seen bicycles for over a century. Adding a bamboo frame to that tradition feels appropriate.
The build itself shows good proportions. Road geometry for efficient pedalling. Disc brakes for confident stopping. Gearing for the hills. A bike designed to ride properly, not just to display.
Ted built this as a handmade project, probably in a workshop session. Now it leans against gates that craftspeople hung centuries ago. Different materials, different eras, same satisfaction in making things well.
Some locations elevate whatever you photograph there. Ted chose wisely. 🏛️
