Designboom: Build your own sustainable commute

On 26 January 2023, design magazine Designboom featured the Bamboo Bicycle Club's Bamboo Gravel Bike Build Kit — the kit that lets you build your own bicycle frame at home from bamboo poles joined with recycled-aluminium lugs.

Designboom described how the kit lets riders "take control of their commute and become a maker of their own vehicle", joining bamboo poles with recycled-aluminium lugs for a custom frame with consistent performance — and noted that the pre-made connections "speed up the build progress by 75%".
