Tandem build by Marco in the Netherlands. All coming together, built using a custom home build kit.

From above, Marco's tandem build spreads across the workbench like a puzzle coming together. Frame triangle assembled, chainstays laid out, the geometry drawing visible beneath the bamboo.

Tandems are ambitious builds. Double the length, double the joints, double the complexity. Two head tubes, two bottom brackets, everything needing to align across a frame that's longer than most single bikes by a significant margin.

The overhead view shows the planning: tubes matched to the paper drawing beneath, stays waiting to be positioned, the careful progression from concept to construction. Marco is building this in the Netherlands, adding to our community of builders across Europe.

Workshop details populate the edges of the frame: tools, tape, scissors, the small equipment that makes builds possible. OSB board workbench, coffee cups nearby, the environment of serious making.

Tandems carry two people, which means building for a relationship as much as for a rider. The conversations that happen on a tandem are different — constant communication, shared effort, destinations reached together.

Coming together in the Netherlands. Keep building, Marco. 🇳🇱
