New bamboo Gravel bike built by Rob as a home build kit.

Rob's new bamboo gravel bike, built as a home build kit. That 'Bam'z'Boo!' script on the down tube adds personality.

The setting is industrial — construction fence, earth moving, the kind of urban edge where development meets existing terrain. Rob brought the bike to terrain as rough as the surroundings suggest.

Natural bamboo with darker lugs creates the classic contrast that draws attention without shouting. The proportions are right for gravel: clearance for wider tyres, geometry that handles mixed surfaces, drop bars for distance efficiency.

The saddle bag suggests someone who rides far enough to need supplies. Tools for mechanicals, food for energy, maybe a layer for changing weather. Prepared rather than optimistic.

Home build kits let builders work in their own space and schedule. Rob took the components, applied the process, and created something rideable from raw materials. The 'Bam'z'Boo!' naming makes it personal.

Gravel bikes go where road bikes fear and mountain bikes find boring. This one looks ready for both extremes and everything between. 🚧
