Build by Tamas. 3 speed with a belt drive

12 January 2020 · 1 min read·By Bamboo Bicycle Club

Three speeds and a belt drive. Tamas built simple on purpose, and the result speaks for itself.

Royal blue painted lugs make a statement against natural bamboo. The tan-wall tyres continue the warm palette. Standing in his Patagonia fleece against industrial shutters, Tamas looks like someone who's thought carefully about what cycling means to him — and decided less is more.

Belt drives eliminate chain maintenance entirely. Internal hub gears remove derailleur hassle. Three speeds handles flat terrain perfectly. This is a bike designed for city riding without the complexity of performance builds.

Sometimes the best bikes are the ones that disappear into daily life. No special clothes required, no pre-ride checks, no post-ride cleaning. Just get on and go. Tamas clearly understood this.

The colour coordination runs deep: blue lugs matching the quieter tones of his fleece, tan tyres warming the whole composition. Deliberate choices that add up to a cohesive look.

Simplicity is harder than complexity. Anyone can add features. Knowing what to leave out requires confidence. Tamas found that balance.

Three gears, zero hassle, infinite style. 💙
