Home build kit by Pierre, photographed against the pink brick of Toulouse. La Ville Rose meets bamboo's golden tones.

That's the Garonne riverfront behind — the distinctive terracotta architecture that gives Toulouse its nickname. Pierre built his frame somewhere else but brought it to the most photogenic backdrop his city offers.

The build is sleek urban. Ellipse track wheels suggest fixed-gear or single-speed simplicity. Black lugs and forks keep the aesthetic tight. No unnecessary components, no visual clutter — just the essentials for city riding.

Toulouse offers excellent cycling conditions. Flat terrain along the river, dedicated paths, a cycling culture that respects riders. A single-speed bamboo bike fits the environment perfectly.

Ellipse wheels are a statement choice. Track heritage, deep profile, the kind of wheelset that says 'I care about aesthetics as much as function.' Pierre clearly does.

Home builds in France carry particular satisfaction. The country that hosts the Tour, that celebrates cycling as culture, that builds bike infrastructure properly. Pierre added to that tradition. 🇫🇷
