Bamboo Bmx build by George. #bamboobike #bmx #handmade #custombmx
This might be the most fun build we've ever featured. George took a bamboo BMX frame and turned it into pure rainbow chaos — and we're absolutely here for it.
Where to even start? The lugs have been painted in a gradient that runs from hot pink at the head tube through orange at the seat cluster to teal at the bottom bracket. It's like someone dropped a sunset onto a BMX. The natural bamboo tubes peek through between the painted joints, adding warmth to all that colour.
The component spec is dialled for actual riding, not just looks. Demolition branded parts throughout — that's proper BMX gear built to take a beating. The tan wall tyres add yet another colour to the mix without tipping it over into visual noise. Orange bar grips complete the party.
BMX builds are relatively rare in our workshop, which makes this one extra special. The geometry is classic: short chainstays for snappy handling, low bottom bracket for stability, that aggressive head tube angle that lets you throw the front wheel around. It's a bike built for parks, streets, and generally causing mischief.
There's a brake cable running to the rear — sensible for street riding where you need reliable stopping power. The single-speed drivetrain is BMX standard, keeping things simple and robust. Nothing to go wrong when you're landing awkwardly.
What makes this build brilliant isn't just the colour palette — it's the confidence behind it. George could've played it safe with black lugs and a subtle finish. Instead, he built exactly what he wanted. That's the whole point of making your own bike.
Pure joy on wheels. Sick build, George. 🔥
