CNN Money: Bamboo Bicycle Club sells kits that let you build your own bamboo bikes

In October 2016, CNN Money featured Bamboo Bicycle Club in its Small Business section, under the headline "Bamboo Bicycle Club sells kits that let you build your own bamboo bikes."

CNN Money reported how the London-based club teaches people to build their own bespoke bamboo bike frames — first through in-person workshops, and later through home-build kits so anyone, anywhere, could build their own.

On bamboo as a frame material, CNN Money quoted co-founder James Marr directly:

The article noted that the kits ranged from $360 to $460, in road, mountain bike and tandem designs, and that around 70% of kit sales went to customers outside the UK — mostly in Europe, the United States and Australia.
