Why bamboo, honestly
A BBC bamboo frame weighs under two kilograms and is **stronger by weight than steel in tension**. Bamboo gives natural vibration damping that aluminium and carbon fibre can't quite replicate — which is what makes a long road ride more comfortable.
On carbon: an independently verified 2024 lifecycle analysis found a BBC bamboo frame produces 56.7% less CO₂ than its aluminium equivalent across the full production cycle.
We don't exaggerate bamboo's strength, or quote test numbers we can't stand behind. The case for bamboo doesn't need exaggeration.
