Road bike build by Hugo in France. All our bikes can be fitted with racks from round the world touri
Lake Annecy at sunset. Mountains catching alpenglow. A bamboo bike resting against a bench while someone breathes in one of the most beautiful views in France.
Hugo built this road frame and brought it here — to the place where the Alps meet the water, where the light at golden hour paints the peaks pink and orange. The B'Twin pannier suggests a longer journey, the Casco helmet speaks to proper riding, the scene screams "this is why we cycle."
Some photos justify entire builds. This is one of them. Whatever Hugo invested in time, materials, and workshop fees paid back the moment this view appeared around a corner.
Lake Annecy draws cyclists from across Europe. The circuit around the lake is a classic, the climbs into the mountains legendary, the descents technical enough to demand respect. Bringing a handmade bamboo bike elevates the experience from riding to pilgrimage.
The bamboo tubes glow in the same warm light hitting the mountains. Natural material, natural scenery, natural moment. Everything aligned.
This is what bikes are for. Getting us to places like this. Letting us stop and stare. Reminding us why we pedal.
Annecy at sunset. Worth every kilometre. 🏔️
