One thing we’re really missing at the moment is the freedom to travel. Here’s a throw back photo
The freedom to travel. This throwback photo captures exactly what we've been missing — and what bamboo bikes were made for.
That turquoise glacial lake, those Andean peaks, the loaded touring setup. This is expedition territory. Somewhere in Chile or Argentina, high altitude, remote, spectacular. The kind of place you can only reach by pedalling there yourself.
The bike is properly loaded. Rear panniers in burgundy and purple. Front panniers in bright orange and yellow. Stuff sacks strapped to the rack. Everything needed for self-sufficient travel in places where the next shop might be days away.
Teal lugs match the impossible colour of that water. Coincidence or planning? Either way, the frame looks at home in this landscape. Natural material against natural wonder.
Touring at altitude demands reliable equipment. The thin air makes climbing harder. The temperature swings test materials. The isolation means you fix problems yourself or you don't fix them at all. A bamboo frame built for this purpose handles it all.
This is why we do what we do. Not just building frames, but enabling journeys. The workshop is where it starts; photos like this are where it leads. Whenever travel opens up again, the bikes will be ready. 🏔️
