The bamboo on this road build has been transformed by fire. A blowtorch, carefully applied across the tube surfaces, darkens the natural material to a rich amber-brown that looks almost like aged oak furniture. The result is stunning.

This is a proper road machine. Pro-Lite deep section wheels slice through the air, making their presence known both visually and acoustically when the speed builds. The classic wheat field backdrop — golden stubble stretching to the horizon — echoes the warm tones of the torched frame perfectly.

The component spec says serious cyclist: compact double crankset for climbing flexibility, a clean cockpit with those classic drop bars, and brown leather bar tape that wouldn't look out of place on a vintage Colnago. It's a modern bike with a nod to cycling's heritage.

Look at the saddle position — high and forward, set up for someone who likes to put the power down. That tall seatpost and aggressive reach to the bars is the signature of a rider who's done some miles.

The torch finishing technique requires patience and a steady hand. Go too slow and you'll scorch the bamboo; too fast and the colour won't be even. Getting that uniform brown across all five tubes takes practice. This builder clearly had the technique dialled.
