Dry stone walls and summer grass. Ted built his bike from our pre-lugged kit and immediately took it somewhere beautiful.

That bright green bar tape is a statement. Against the natural bamboo, the weathered stone, the golden field behind — it pops. Some might call it loud. We call it confident.

Pre-lugged kits are our most accessible option for home builders. The structural work is done: lugs are pre-formed, tubes are pre-cut, geometry is set. What remains is the satisfaction of assembly and finishing without the intimidation of starting from raw materials.

The frame shows clean execution. Bronze-toned lugs complement the bamboo tubes. The proportions look right for gravel or light touring — relaxed geometry for comfort on long rides.

Yorkshire? Derbyshire? Somewhere in the Dales or Peak District, probably. These walls have stood for centuries, built by hand from stones cleared from the fields. There's something fitting about parking a handmade frame against handmade stonework.

The late afternoon light catches the bamboo beautifully. Builders often take their new frames to meaningful places for first photos. The choice of location says as much about the rider as the bike itself. Ted clearly values landscape. 🌾
