MAKER TAKEOVER Hola 👋 we are @twobybamboo. We’re taking @bamboobicycleclub hostage for a few d

Maker takeover by Two By Bamboo. The mask, the safety glasses, the power sander — this is what frame building actually looks like.

The builder shapes a joint with focused attention. Dust mask filters the fine particles that sanding produces. Safety glasses protect from debris. The power tool does heavy material removal before hand-finishing refines the surface.

Workshop takeovers bring different perspectives. Two By Bamboo brought their approach, their tools, their techniques. We learned from watching; they learned from our space and materials. Exchange benefits everyone.

Process photography like this rarely makes it to social media. The glamour shots of finished bikes get the likes; the dusty reality of construction gets overlooked. But this is where frames actually happen — in concentration, in repetition, in the careful removal of excess material.

Bamboo frame building requires shaping skills. The joints where tubes meet need smooth transitions. Rough surfaces create weak points. The sander in those hands is removing material that would compromise the final frame.

Two By Bamboo took over for a few days. The frames they built live on. The techniques we exchanged continue informing our practice. 🔨
