Good morning, early start at our London workshop! Will have these 6 frames all finished by 5pm! .
Good morning from the workshop. Six frames, six stages, six stories unfolding at once.
This is what an early start at our London workshop looks like: frames in jigs, tubes being aligned, different builds progressing through different stages. The numbered photos track progress — 1 through 5, then the full spread of organised chaos.
Each frame represents someone's vision becoming real. The tubes are cut, the geometry is set, the joints are wrapped, and gradually a pile of bamboo transforms into something rideable.
Workshop days move fast. Instructors circulate between builds, answering questions, demonstrating techniques, catching errors before they become problems. The collective energy of multiple builders creates momentum — seeing others progress motivates your own work.
Tools line the walls: handsaws, clamps, measuring devices, the accumulated equipment of years of frame building. Nothing fancy, everything functional. You don't need expensive machinery to build a bamboo bike — just patience, guidance, and attention to detail.
By day's end, some of these frames will be wrapped and curing. Others will need another session. All of them will eventually become bikes that someone rides with pride.
Workshop life, one frame at a time. ☕
