Workshop day in Falun, Sweden. Multiple frames in jigs, builders focused on their work, and that particular energy of people learning something new together.

Cykelköket Falun — the Bike Kitchen — hosts workshops that bring frame building to Scandinavia. The setup here shows our portable teaching approach: jigs on tables, tools within reach, frames taking shape under careful hands.

You can see the concentration. The builder in the foreground, cap on, apron tied, is working on a junction that requires precision. Behind him, another frame at the same stage. The banner on the wall shows finished bikes — a reminder of where all this careful work leads.

Swedish makers bring a particular sensibility to craft. There's something in the culture that values doing things properly, taking time, getting details right. It translates well to frame building.

The room itself tells a story. Tools on pegboards. Finished frame hanging in the window. Roll of protective paper. Industrial floor worn by years of use. This is a working space, not a showroom.

Teaching workshops in other countries extends what we do beyond London. The skills transfer. The frames go home with their builders. The network grows, one careful junction at a time. 🇸🇪
