Bamboo Bikepacking in the Alps
Bourg cycling in the Alps. Snow-capped peaks, autumn colours, gravel road winding toward passes that test everything.
The bikepacking setup is ready for days of self-sufficiency. Altura bag on the saddle, frame bags tucked tight, the kind of loadout that enables crossing mountain ranges.
This landscape demands respect. Cold descents, steep climbs, weather that changes without warning. Bourg brought a bamboo frame to terrain that forgives nothing.
The road ahead curves toward peaks still holding summer snow. Larch trees turning gold. The particular beauty of high mountains in autumn.
Some photos capture more than bikes. This one captures adventure itself. 🏔️
