What made you decide to build a bamboo bike?

I discovered Bamboo bikes 10 years ago and I thought the idea was very good. A friend in 2018 told me about Bamboo bicycle club and after buying all the parts to build the bike I bought a kit in April 2020.

Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?

Yes, I loved building it even if I had moments of doubt. James answered all my questions. Yes I recommend this experience!

What did you find most difficult about your bike build?

The cutting of bamboo is quite difficult, adjust the cuts to the aluminium inserts. But it can be done with perseverance.

What advice would you give to other bamboo bike builders and what would you improve if anything?

Very, very often the axis of the frame must be measured in relation to the support of the frame construction guide.

How would you describe the ride of your finished bike?

For me, who has been riding on titanium for 10 years and now on handcrafted steel frames for 10 years, I find the bamboo frame as nervous as the titanium frame and as comfortable as the steel frame a real joy to ride. When I ride with it I always extend my rides! And with the pride of having made it myself!
