Having assembled hundred of bikes as a shop mechanic, i wanted a new challenge and a new cool bike.
Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?
I enjoyed it very much, and would encourage everyone to give it a go
What did you find most difficult about your bike build?
I added some nonstandard features (dropped chainstay, t47 BB, Seatmast) which added time and conplexity to an already fairly time consuming process.
What was the easiest part of the build?
Building up the bike with selected components once the frame was done.
How would you describe the ride of your finished bike?
Very compliant, a little flexy in the BB, extremely smug
What would you improve about the build experience or your finished bike?
I would have precut and then sewn the flax strips into tubes to prevent fraying. Next build i will do a bagged vacuum assisted resin transfusion to build the lugs without the need to do a messy wetup and compression with tape.
