What made you decide to build a bamboo bike?
It gave me to custom fit the bike for me
Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?
Immensely. It was a real challenge for me as I only have the use of 1 hand. The end product has a great sense of achievement.
What did you find most difficult about your bike build?
Gluing the frame in the jig, quite tricky for me to get it lined up properly in the time limit of the epoxy.
What was the easiest part of the build?
Surprisingly the instructions, really easy to follow for me.
How would you describe the ride of your finished bike?
Really smooth, I’m using quite heavy MTB rims but there’s no rattles or creaks so that’s a plus!
What would you improve about the build experience or your finished bike?
Better quality group set and wheels for my next build (lugged gravel bike)
