I am an Engineer in Audio Processing. I would like to change my job for a more meaningful one. I had heard of people doing bamboo bicycles and I thought that was something I could maybe do for a job. I use my bike every day for commuting, so I decided to build one from Bamboo Bicycle kit to see if this was something I could enjoy.
Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?
I really enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and I would strongly recommend!
What did you find most difficult about your bike build?
Aligning and tacking the rear triangle was the most difficult part. I had to to it twice as the whell was touching the chainstays at first.
What was the easiest part of the build?
I would say cutting the bamboos for the front triangle.
How would you describe the ride of your finished bike?
It's wonderful, smooth and rigid at the same time. I love it !
What would you improve about the build experience or your finished bike?
I would like to find a way to have beautiful lugs more easily.
