What made you decide to build a bamboo bike?
It was something a friend and myself were discussing a couple of years or so ago, eventually myself deciding to home build a 29er - as I already have a 650b+ a single speed 26er and a 1993 orange clockwork!
Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?
i really enjoyed the build, i would say take your time getting all the bamboo to fit prperly together with the other sections of bamboo and the headstock and boottom bracket shell.
What did you find most difficult about your bike build?
The hardest part i found (as it took me several attempts) was the routing of the right hand chainstay between the wheel and chainset
What was the easiest part of the build?
iironically the easiet part was applying the resin and flax!
How would you describe the ride of your finished bike?
unfortunatly due to my job, ive not had a real opportunity to ride it!
What would you improve about the build experience or your finished bike?
If there is a next time, i'd route the internal cable of the rear brake a little better around the bottom bracket.
