What made you decide to build a bamboo bike?

I enjoy a challenge and I wanted a bike that would stand out from the multitude of carbon super bikes that all look the same when they are whizzing past you.

Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?

Yes I did enjoy every bit of bit of it and would certainly recommend it the sense of achievement is amazing.

What did you find most difficult about your bike build?

Getting the bamboo in to the lugs when the jig was fitted to the board I found it easier at the end to assemble everything and then put it into the jig and line everything up and leave to set.

What was the easiest part of the build?

Paring the bamboo down to the correct size for each lug.

How would you describe the ride of your finished bike?

Only had a short spin on it so far but I found it surprisingly quiet and totally different road feel compared to my carbon road bike.

What would you improve about the build experience or your finished bike?

Your new laser cut jigs would have my my build a bit easier but I wouldn't change anything on the finished bike its everything I wanted.
