GRAVEL LUGGED FRAME BUILD BY PETER

GRAVEL LUGGED FRAME BUILD BY PETER

What made you decide to build a bamboo bike?

I have been a long time bike tinkereralnd amateur mechanic and this seemed like a great opportunity to truly build a bike from scratch.

Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?

Yes I would definitely recommend this process to anyone who enjoys working on their own bikes.

What did you find most difficult about your bike build?

The trickiest part was the final gluing and lining up of the rear triangle. I did multiple dry runs to make sure I had the process down and that the back wheel was nice and straight.

What was the easiest part of the build?

I would rate the overall process and nice and easy. the instructions and videos were great and a huge help as well.

How would you describe the ride of your finished bike?

Still winter here in Chicago but my initial test rides around the neighborhood have been nice and smooth.

What would you improve about the build experience or your finished bike?

For future versions of the lugged kit I would recommend a bit more solid jigs for mounting the frame after glueing.
