What made you decide to build a bamboo bike?
I thought about building a bamboo bike since some years but found no time before ending my sporty career in paralympic sports (cycling and snowboarding)
Did you enjoy building the bicycle from scratch and would you recommend the experience?
i enjoyed it very much and would recommend it for experienced hand-crafters
What did you find most difficult about your bike build?
building the rear triangle and grinding and sanding the mufflers to get a slim optic between the flax layers for a transparent natural design
What was the easiest part of the build?
finishing and sealing the bike
How would you describe the ride of your finished bike?
very smooth ride, good dampening
What would you improve about the build experience or your finished bike?
i would build a device for cutting the tubes in the perfect angle and fitting to the other tubes to reduce the grinding and sanding time for the tubes (You can buy it from BBC ;-) )
